Our facilities are located in Murcia (Spain) and they are ground-breaking in the livestock sector. In our company we prioritise the animal’s welfare as well as the hygiene to guarantee the maximum quality of our product. In addition, we work with the meat breeds from which maximum meat yield can be obtained.

In order to get to know well our company, we must go back centuries, when paternal and maternal great-parents were involved in the world of sheep farming. At the beginning, logically, it was difficult since there were neither the technological means nor the communication we can count on today. Humans and livestock lived almost side by side, as livestock farmyard were very close to the houses or even inside them, therefore animals received maximum attention. They were taken out to eat the grass and in search of sustenance and, when there was none, they went from one place to another in search of it. Hence, the so-called transhumance.

Altogether has given rise to an unconditional love and understanding for this animal that has passed down from generation to generation. Nowadays, we are proud of these origins, which make the difference between our company and the rest. And this is what drives us to improve day after day.

We operate nationally and internationally. All of this is possible due to our close and familiar relationship with our customers. In this sense, this allows us to achieve mutual trust and a commercial relationship of the highest quality. We are committed to the development of the rural area of Murcia, contributing to the creation of employment not only directly, but also indirectly.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

In our company, we prioritise both animal welfare and hygiene to guarantee the highest quality of our product.

We work with the best meat breeds such as the Segureña and the Merino sheep, being a specialist in the latter, as 80 % of our product is from the Merino breed.

The entire farm management follows an exhaustive control determined by a team of vets and animal nutritionists. They are in charge ofguaranteeing health, traceability and quality in the best possible conditions during the whole process, which involves since animals enter the farm until their final destination.

All of our animals are exclusively fed on natural cereal-based fodder.

For that reason, we have the AENOR animal welfare certificate.

Commitment, proximity, and flexibility are some of the words that represent us. We are committed to our clients by offering them a relationship based on trust, transparency and effort.

FACILITIES

Our facilities are located in Murcia (Spain) and they are ground-breaking in the livestock sector. They are located in a strategic place, where the harbour of Cartagena is just only 20 km away.

We have a fattening farm with a capacity of about

0 heads of cattle

with high and ventilated buildings, ventilation systems, drinkers, feeders, fodder, designed exclusively for the rearing of lambs. Factors such as the layout and geographical orientation of the buildings are details that are also reflected in animal health.

Our feeding place is divided into several areas:

  • A reception area where all animals are admitted and properly organised by weight, breed and sex.
  • A feedlot, where animals are kept for thirty to sixty days for their full development.
  • An exit area, where they are prepared for both slaughter and export.

At Agrojaro Livestock we are aware of the sustainable development and self-sufficiency.  For that reason, in 2021 we decided to invest in renewable energies by installing a photovoltaic power plant to be energetically self-sufficient.
